About the memorial: The avenue of trees was planted with a tree for each to mark 211 men and 1 women all on the Horsforth cenotaph on Fink Hill Horsforth. Originally there where metal name plates for each at the base of the tree, some still survive in Horsforth Museum however many have been lost. In Horsforth Museum there is list of the names available and the suggested poition of the tree dedicated to them. It was in alphabetical order as is the cenotaph. There was a rededication of the Memorial on 11th Nov 2014 and two further plaques added beside the Boulder Stone originaly laid. Salmon Crescent was named after a local Councillor who died as an innocent pedestrian in 1920. The Boudler Stone was unveiled by the Earl of Harwood on 8th Nov 1925.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
