About the memorial: Remembers the Ainsworth family members and employees in the Ainsworth family bleach works - shows those who failed to return and those who returned after duty. Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

Before applying for a grant you should read the advice available on War Memorials Trust`s website. The What we can and cannot fund helpsheet explains what types of work the charity can fund.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

This memorial is erected in grateful memory by the congregation relatives and friends 1914 to record the names of those who fought and offered all for God and country. LEFT HAND PANEL: ISAIAH XL.9. 'THEY SHALL NOT HURT NOR DESTROY FOR THE EARTH SHALL BE FULL OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LORD, AS THE WATERS COVER THE SEA.' CENTRE PANEL: ISAIAH 11.4 'HE SHALL JUDGE AMONG THE NATIONS, AND SHALL REBUKE MANY PEOPLE, AND THEY SHALL BEAT THEIR SWORDS INTO PLOUGHSHARES AND THEIR SPEARS INTO PRUNING HOOKS.' RIGHT HAND PANEL: HEBREWS 1.8 'UNTO THE SON HE SAITH, THY THRON, O GOD, IS FOR EVER AND EVER: A SCEPTRE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTRE OF THY KINGDOM.'
