About the memorial: A stone plaque with the dedication 'To remember all who suffer as a result of war' provided by St Andrew's Church in 1996. Two marble plaques with lead lettering commemorating the employees of Slocock Nursery who fought in the First and Second World Wars. Removed from the Knaphill Nursery and added to the Church memorial in 2007(?). The WW II plaque is a faithful replacement because the original was broken in the course of its removal. The memorial plaques are located on the land occupied by the Goldsworth Park Health Centre on Denton Way. Part of the Goldsworth Park Estate was built on land which was the Slocock Nursery. Separate IWM entries 23593 WW1, 23594 WW2
