About the memorial: Situated on the raised garden area in the centre of Dewsbury Town centre The period commemorated is 1914 – 1919 and 1939 – 1945 Description – this memorial stone was created and built in the early 90s following a request from the Dewsbury Branch of the Royal British Legion whose members were finding it difficult to parade from the centre of Dewsbury to the main memorial situated in Crow Nest Park, which is approximately one mile away in distance. At Remembrance time services are carried out at this memorial with wreath laying taking place at both locations

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
