About the memorial: Standing in the centre of the cemetery, at the junction of the four paths, the front facing the cemetery entrance.A Cross of Sacrifice surmounting a three-tiered plinth, standing upon a four-tiered octagonal base, within a circular gravel and grass mound. The top plinth bears the names of 65 men who gave their lives during WW1. The names are arranged by unit, listing rank, surname, first name, other initials, decorations where applicable, and unit. Within each unit group the names are listed by rank, and then alphabetically within ranks. On the next plinth are listed the names of 23 men who gave their lives during WW2, listed alphabetically, regardless of unit, listing rank, surname, first name, other initials and unit. The one name to the Korean War is on the rear lower plinth.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
