About the memorial: Standing on the north side of Fore Street opposite to All Saints Church. Behind a metal, gated fence, within a paved garden backed by a wall. A tall wheel cross upon a slender octagonal pillar, mounting a two-tier square plinth, and upon a two-tier base. The front face bears a square slate plaque which states that it commemorates the fallen of Marazion and St. Michael's Mount. It bears the names of 22 men who died in WW1 and 14 who died in WW2. The two groups of names are listed alphabetically with just first initials and surnames. No ranks, units or dates of death are listed. To the right of the cross is a short granite pillar with raised leaded lettering regarding the presentation of a gun to the village after WW1 (long lost, at the WW2 scrap metal drive, if not before- these trophy guns were often very short lived due to popular objections). To the left is an identical granite pillar marking the centenary of the war. (Note: F. Channing; A. Ivey; T. H. Laity; A. S. White and R. T. Williams are also commemorated on the worshippers WW1 memorial in All Saints Church opposite-WMO/143815)
