About the memorial: Situated - Hanging Heaton Methodist Church is situated in High Street Hanging Heaton approximately 1 ¼ miles from Batley Town centre in West Yorkshire Description – there are two memorials inside the Church, one details the members of the Church and School who served during the First World War and the second listing those who made the supreme sacrifice for their Country also in WW 1. The memorial listing the members who made the supreme sacrifice is a stained glass window with the names etched in a large window on the west side of the Transept
