About the memorial: Situated on the grass between the road and the beach, adjacent to the Mundesley Museum. A 500kg German World War 2 Bomb, pointed nose down, on a Granite Base, forming a memorial to those that helped clear the beach of mines between 1944 and 1953. One face bears the general commemoration, whilst the other three bear the name panels. It lists 27 names of those who lost their lives carrying out this work. Rank, name, age, date of death and place of death are recorded, grouped by similar dates, but not all listed in strict chronological order.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
