About the memorial: Waringstown War Memorial is located beside the A26 Banbridge Road in the village.The clock tower is built in Gothic renaissance style, stands 40ft. (12.5m) in height, and is surmounted by a three-dial chiming turret clock, the workmanship of the firm of Messrs. Sharman D. Neill, Ltd., Donegall Place, Belfast. The major portion of the memorial is composed of granolithic concrete and local whinstone, and it is erected in a commanding position on a site in the north of the grounds of Waringstown House, close to the main road, and kindly given by Mrs Waring. The builders were Messrs. McDowell & Fitzsimons, Lurgan, and the architect Mr. Robert Lynn, M.R.I.A.I., Lurgan and Belfast. The inscription is in two parts.
