About the memorial: US Armed Forces: The memorial is on the former parade ground of RAF Martlesham Heath, where the unit was based in WW2. It is believed to be the first memorial dedicated to US service personnel after WW2, being dedicated in 1946. It is alongside a memorial to the RAF base, which was dedicated in 1990 (WMO 161390). It must have been moved from its original location during the construction of the new town built on the base.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
