About the memorial: Oak screen imitative of medieval rood screen with Gothic style tracery above. and three panels below. Panels on west face sub-divided into seven sections, with names of the parish's war dead carved into the wood in (mainly) alphabetical order, starting with officers and NCOs on the far left, then privates. Panels on east face have carved and gilded lettering, two panels commemorate individual soldiers connected to the church (a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir) and a panel on far left with a record of the Roll of Honour's presentation by the Bishop of Norwich on 25th January 1920.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
