About the memorial: The SSAFA Afghanistan Shellcase is a 105 shell engraved with the names of the 454 service personnel who died during the 2001 - 2014 Afghanistan Conflict. It appears that this item is moved around to be present at appropriate commemorations, but further information would be valuable. The photograph from 2015 was taken in Queen Elizabeth gardens, Salisbury but this is apparently not its permanent location.
