About the memorial: Sculpture of soldier on a square plinth. This memorial is located in the grounds of front of Mourne Presbyterian Church, Greencastle Street, Kilkeel.It takes the form of a solid granite pedestal surmounted by the figure of a soldier, in full fighting kit, sculptured in white marble. Upon the front and sides of the base are inscribed the names on the congregational roll of honour, Although the memorial is in the front of the Presbyterian church, the townspeople of Kilkeel make this the official Kilkeel war memorial
