About the memorial: A framed and glazed roll of honour. The paper roll has a standard printed design at the head depicting the arms of the Oddfellows flanked by women and children all in a roundel flanked by a soldier and sailor and with a white dove of peace at the top. In the background are scenes of conflict on land and at sea and at the foot are a lowered Union Flag and White Ensign with a laurel wreath between. The inscription heading is printed in reds, blues and gold and the title is in red upright Gothic sentence case calligraphy. The names are arranged in four columns in black upright Gothic sentence case calligraphy. The wooden frame has a moulded and beaded design. In November 2009 it was discovered during renovations at the New Masons Arms, Mexborough and donated to Mexborough and District Heritage Society, and was restored in 2011.
