About the memorial: In storage. A photograph of an obviously home-made document in a glass frame. At the head of the sheet two Scouts stand each side of a design centred on a crossed Union flag and a White Ensign, with the Scouts' emblem and the local Association's name in a circle between them. Around the top of that design are circles with images representing various Scoouting badges - a motif which is continued down each of the sides of the sheet, flanking the names, and across the bottom of the sheet. Beneath the upper design is written Roll of Honour, above three columns, two of which carry the name of those serving, with the third having the names of the wartime Committee. Above the each main column are three sub-divisions: Name; Reg.; Remarks. In the latter column is written whether a man was killed or wounded etc.. There is a dedicatory scroll beneath the columns of names. The whereabouts of the Roll itself is unknown. Previously at Hindley Scout HQ.
