About the memorial: Primarily a 3 panel stained glass window. Each panel is arched at the top and the saints are in military regalia. The left panel depicts St OSwald with a Prince of Wales Volunteers regimental insignia below and an inscription to Lieutenant Colonel John H Child Pearson below that is a heraldic shield. The centre panel depicts St George with a red tudor rose below and an inscription under which is a sh ieldwith the St George cross. The right panel depicts St Edmund with The Lancashire Fusiliers regimental insignia below underneath which is an inscription to Major John Paul Zacharias and a herladic shiled. Above the central panel is a small panel with a gold cross on a blue background

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
