About the memorial: A white marble tablet on a marble backboard. The upright oblong tablet has a raised border with stepped sides bearing a motif repeated on the inner chamfer and on the outer surfaces of the steps. At the head of the tablet is the badge of the Derbyshire Yeomanry in relief and at the foot is a crossed rifle and sword in relief. At the centre is a laurel wreath in relief with a domed panel in the centre bearing the incised inscription in upright capital roman lettering coloured black. Below the wreath the ribbons surround a further badge in relief comprising a crown and crossed swords above a two-headed eagle and a roundel bearing a cross. The oblong backboard is of green and black veined marble. It is in the Chancel. There is also a stained glass window to him-WMO/209899.
