About the memorial: A white marble tablet on a frame and backboard. The tablet is made up of white marble tiles forming a frieze at the head with seven columns below, all surrounded by a mosaic of gilded tesserae. The frieze bears crossed keys at each side representing the emblem of St Peter and the inscription at the centre, and the seven columns bear the names. The cast bronze frame has laurel leaves in relief and a boss at the centre of the top rail contains a coloured coat of arms. The backboard is made up of sections of polished brown mottled alabaster. A brass plaque on the cill of the adjacent window bears information relating to this tablet and to the window which is a separate memorial. See also WMO/291048 for the window and associated brass plaque
