About the memorial: A rood screen spanning the full width of the chancel arch. The oak screen is formed of two pairs of moulded mullions which, with the walls of the chancel arch, form five bays of different widths. Beneath a carved depiction of Christ crucified, flanked on each side by an Apostle, the head of the rood screen has a moulded and carved frieze bearing an incised and gilded inscription in upright capital Roman lettering. The upper part of each bay is infilled with carved tracery; the lower part, between each of the two pairs of mullions, is infilled with a panel bearing an inscription and the names of casualties, the lettering of which is incised and gilded in upright capital roman lettering. The First World War casualties' names are listed at the top of each panel; the Second World War names were later added, at the foot of each of the panels. It is in the Chancel Arch, there are 42 WW1 and 9 WW2 names.
