About the memorial: An addition to a white marble headstone on a family grave. The headstone has a nowy head with a moulded cornice and rebated and battered sides. A border of trailing ivy leaves extends around the sides and head and the inlaid inscription is in different styles of upright lettering. The headstone surmounts an oblong base and is accompanied by oblong white marble kerbstones. It is on the northwestern edge of the cemetery. For Willis Downes CWGC gives the date of death as 19 July as against 27 July on the gravestone. For Harry Davies CWGC say that he was born at Bootle, Liverpool
