About the memorial: Rectangular glazed-framed dedicatory inscription re the lectern Bible, altar rail, lights and other fitments that in 1955 were presented to the Corps Chapel at Inkerman Barracks by members of various Companies of the Royal Military Corps, many of which were serving overseas. Within an ornately-drawn depiction of a stone arch (at the apex of which are two Herald Angels), the Royal Military Police crest is followed by the inscription. Previously at the Inkerman Barracks in Woking, then the Roussilon Barracks in Chichester. The tablet refers to various chuch fittings in the original location. It is not known whether any of those also made these journeyts.
