About the memorial: A framed and glazed roll of honour The roll has a gilded cross at the head flanked by swirls of foliage in red and blue. The heading is in blue gothic calligraphy with illuminated initials in red, blue and gold and the introduction is in blue and black gothic calligraphy with selected rubricated initials. The names are in black gothic calligraphy with alternating rubricated and blue initials, and they are arranged in two columns with alternate names indented. The swirls of red and blue foliage are repeated at the foot and the side borders are decorated with fine swirls of green foliage. The wooden frame has chamfered edges and extended corner joints.
