About the memorial: A white marble tablet with a raised border incorporating a repeated leaf motif and a section of bound laurel leaf. At the centre is a large victor's laurel wreath containing the incised inscription in upright roman capitals infilled in black. Above the wreath is the badge of the Seaforth Highlanders and below it that of the Lancashire Fusiliers. At the foot of the tablet is a depiction of a short magazine Lee Enfield rifle with sling. All of the decorations are carved in shallow relief. It is at the west end of the south wall of the south aisle.
