About the memorial: A framed and glazed Roll of Honour with columns of handwritten names. When it was decided to add the name of Lance Corporal Darren Hicks, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2010, it was found that the vellum had started to disintegrate and the name could not be added. Therefore and a new vellum Roll of Honour was commissioned. See WMO/144037. Note that this original was not present (on public display) in the Church on 24 September 2022, only it's successor

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
