About the memorial: Additional wording to the inscription on a white marble family gravestone comprising a cross on a two-stepped base and kerbs. The Latin cross has the badge of the Sherwood Foresters Regiment in relief at the centre and the opening inscription inlaid on the shaft. The two steps of the base have bevelled tops and the continuation of the inscription on the face and a further inscription is on the side of the oblong kerbs. The inscriptions are inlaid in upright capital lettering. The memorial is northeast of the middle of the cemetery, east of the path.
