About the memorial: A sports ground with associated facilities and a roll of honour. The land extends to about 2 hectares and is laid out to include a cricket pitch, bowling green and hard tennis courts, with associated pavilions, tea hut, car park and entrance sign board. The roll of honour is displayed in the tea hut and has a broad hand-painted border containing swirls and other patterns with an intricate RHM monogram at the head and a depiction of the church building at the foot. The headings are upright capital roman lettering coloured in reds, blues and golds, and the inscription is in black calligraphy with selected letters in blue. Originally, as it's name implies, the sports ground was only for Church members, now it is open to all. The Roll of Honour is on the north east wall of the tea hut. The Church's own memorial is now here (following closure and demolition of the Church) and is recorded as WMO/293769.
