About the memorial: Inverted t-shaped tablet with names at the top in gold relief and dedication at the base. The names are supported by two figures. Below the tablet a plain board with moulded border for the WW2 names has been placed. The supporting figures are of an infantryman on the left and of a sailor on the right, both standing in mourning pose. Above the dedication is a wreath with crossed union flag and white ensign behind it. Foliate bosses frame the names and below the names are bosses of the Tudor rose, thistle and shamrock. Although the WW2 section is a different material, the positioning and wording of it make it an extension of the WW1 original rather than a separate memorial in its own right.
