About the memorial: An addition to the lettering on a family gravestone. The tall black polished granite headstone has a heavy cornice at the head, pilasters to each side, a heavy plinth at the foot and a projecting panel on the face in the style of an unfurled scroll. The cornice and plinth bear incised inscriptions in relief and the scroll bears an incised inscription in mixed case upright decorative lettering, partly gilded. The headstone surmounts a granite base with bevelled top and is accompanied by small sloping kerbs to each side. It is Southeast of the church, among the bushes near the stone wall.
