About the memorial: 2 wooden boards, names in 6 columns on each. Some possible confusion here, needing a site visit to elucidate. The original source for this record - the Hampshire War Memorials website - places this memorial, with photos, in the Parish Hall. The hall itself is not a memorial, dating from 1903. However, the IWM Register entry, dating from the 2020s, places it in St Mary's Church, but does not have photographs of the boards. Anyone who can verify the correct location is invited to edit this entry. The photograph of the Queen and the flash of coloured curtains, suggest that the Parish Hall was indeed the correct location in 2003. The boards might, however, have been moved.
