About the memorial: Memorial to fallen village resident who died at home while convalescing. Whilst this looks like a Commonwealth War Graves Commission headstone it is not. The grave elsewhere in the churchyard will be in the care of the CWGC but they will not be responsible for this stone. This can be deemed a war memorial as the body of the individual commemorated is elsewhere.
