About the memorial: Vases and a rose bowl, dedicated 27th June 1920 at Brentford Congregational Church in memory of Reginald Clark, a former church helper. Private Clark was killed 21st March 1918, but his death was not confirmed until after the war. From County of Middlesex Independent, 3rd July 1920: 'Upon his last leave from France he expressed to his mother the wish of presenting flower vases to the church, and the parents, respecting his wish and interpreting it as a vow, have added another memorial.' Brentford Congregational Church is now Brentford Free Church - it would be helpful if someone at the church could confirm if the vases and rose bowl are still in use.
