About the memorial: Rectangular illuminated Roll of Honour, in a glazed frame. At top-centre is the Worcester City crest (a shield bearing a castle on a black and red background, and a shield bearing three pears) and the City's motto. The dedicatory inscription in the upper section is surrounded by a border of laurel leaves. Beneath is a shield-shaped depiction of the Union Flag, on which is overlaid a gilt cross; this is surrounded by photographs of the five officers who died, with captions re the details of their deaths. Beneath are listed the officers who served, including the five who died (whose names are in gilt lettering). These names have a border of stylised flowers. Behind the front counter of then new police station, over the road from the old police station which has a memorial tablet on the external wall.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
