Comments:
The stone memorial is itself in good condition but ,as stated in a previous comment, it is surrounded with shrubbery making in very difficult to read the wording on all four sides. This is unfortunate because the Royal Wharf Gardens are maintained to a good standard. Some vigorous pruning is required. The address for the memorial of North Woolwich Road is now misleading . It was moved to its present position in the north west area of Royal Wharf Gardens in 2016, and is about 100 yards south of the North Woolwich Road, and about 30 yards to the east of Cable Street E16. The Thames Barrier is about 300 yards to the east. The private estate is known as the Royal Wharf Estate, who I imagine would be responsible for maintenance. Photos are being sent to War Memorials Trust
