Thoroughly inspected 7 December 2020. The Memorial was cleaned in time for Remembrance Sunday 2020. The side walls have NOT partially collapsed- that is the way the walls were built and have been for 40 years to my knowledge- they have been thoroughly checked for integrity. No issue with the rear wall. There is NO issue with missing lead lettering (refurbishment would be useful but no change has been observed over the last 8 years, so the matter is stable), a number of areas of repointing would be useful, and the steps have no significant issue- again really a question of pointing. This was an emergency visit to check on what turned out to be severely overstated relatively minor issues.
