14/7/2020. Rear wall below the inscription and the pillars very Poor with stonework surfaces flaking. Plinth Poor with chips gouged out and badly discoloured. Overhanging vegetation may be attributable to the pandemic limiting council activity. Statue and frieze structurally sound but looking in need of attention from a professional to restore vibrancy. This memorial is iconic and its condition has been under review for years. But no improvement.
