Comments:
Work completed in April 2018 thanks to grant funding from CADW, WMT and Cardiff Council. Specialist cleaning of all stone work using skilled hand crafted techniques. All mortar checked and any work required was carried out by hand and repointed with lime-based mortar to match original mortar mix. All inscriptions cleaned and, with CADW consent, drill holes in the lettering were in-filled with matching lime mortar to help preserve their appearance and legibility. Following site meetings and consent from CADW, the statues were cleaned and waxed. Pathway cleaned and repaired. Smartwater has been applied. (Photo's to follow)
