On visiting the lovely memorial gardens at Crickets lane Ashton under lyne on the 5th August 22 i was shocked to witness the condition of this grand example commemorating lives lost, the monument is in server disrepair and in dyer need of attention due to smashed stonework gouged bronze and genially heavily decaying plaques, looks like it been like this for some time?
