Comments:
The memorial and its surrounds have been renovated thanks to grants from the War Memorial Trust and Carrick Futures. Missing lettering has been replaced and all joints have had the mortar replaced. The memorial itself has been cleaned of green algae. A safety fence along the front of the memorial has been constructed and hand rail added to improve ease of access. The access steps have been relaid with an extra one added to make the areas between the sets of rises level.
