The Lychgate has been closed to the public for over two years due to its condition of the memorial which has been classed as unsafe. We are currently applying for approval by the lychgate to be removed with the memorial plaque resituated in the chancel of St Peter's Church. The DAC requires your views on this proposal, and if unwilling to support its removal, whether we can apply for a grant to support its repair.
