Since the description of this WW1 memorial in 2013 the lettering on the southern side is faint but the memorial would benefit from cleaning as shown in the overall picture attached. The square base has a crack on its north side and the octagonal collar has a crack also on the northern side. The maintenance mentioned below is a gentle clean prior to armistice Sunday.
