WMT is aware of a number of issues with the condition of the war memorial ranging from pointing to settlement on the memorial site. Warrington Borough Council are carrying out investigations on the river bed to resolve these issues following the end of the centenary as this will necessitate the dismantling of the war memorial. Step-free access at the site will also be installed as part of the proposals. The Trust is providing advice to Warrington Borough Council as part of the project.
