Comments:
Work on renovating Kilverstone war memorial, following a grant, was completed on 9 November, 2018. The wooden roof tiles have all been replaced, together with the wooden side-bench seats. All the brickwork and rendering had been made good, as has the the water supply which now feeds the repaired concrete drinking trough at the front. The interior has been cleared and repaired. Finally, renovation discovered the remains of a flint stone surround, which has been replaced by block paving, including an access path at the rear. The work has saved a unique war memorial structure.
