Comments:
The memorial was subject to a major renovation and clean in 2016. In the last 7 years it has deteriorated. During the 2016 renovation a deteriorating sand stone base was covered in mortar to protect it. This has failed, is no longer doing its job and it looks a mess. We have had a number of adverse comments about the memorials condition from members of the public and the military veterans who attend the annual ceremonies. In addition to the question of its poor visual quality repairs are urgently needed to protect the base from further and more serious deterioration.
