Comments:
Structurally OK, the pathway to the memorial is now OK, but by the nature of uneven natural stonework could be difficult in poor weather. I visited on a dry day but was very careful of my steps, and unimpressed. There is no pavement from the village to the memorial, on a surprisingly busy road- just a sketchy track on the side of the road which you then have to cross on a sharp corner to reach the memorial. The WW2 names are very hard to read due to lichen growth, the WW1 names are a bit easier to read but have a lost a lot of sharpness since the 2007 images. Doubtless that would improve with substantial cleaning, but the access to the memorial site is a far more difficult issue. The overall impression was one of neglect, sorry to say.
