Comments:
The memorial has been well looked after since the War Memorials Trust grant in 2014 (see link). The memorial itself and the surrounding garden appear to be very well tended. The area is clear of litter and tidy. The surrounding railings and wall appear complete with no obvious peeling paint or missing mortar. The stone base, pedestal and statue forming the memorial seem secure with no evidence of movement or cracking and there are no missing elements evident. There are no deep cracks or missing mortar from the joints. There is slight weathering at the base of the pedestal. The lettering is well defined and easily read although the inscription at the foot of the WW2 panel and some of the names on this panel are slightly affected by the weathering. There is no damage caused by vandalism or graffiti. There are no access restrictions.
