Comments:
The memorial was refurbished in 2014 with help of a grant of £1,665 from the War Memorials Trust. It appears to have been well looked after since then with evidence of recent tending of flower beds and planters. The surrounding area is clear of litter and tidy. The surrounding railings are complete with no obvious peeling paint. The stone base and plinth appear secure with no evidence of movement or cracking and there are no missing elements. There are no deep cracks or missing mortar from the joints. There are no access restrictions. There is no damage caused by vandalism or graffiti. The lettering is well defined and easily read. The metal plaque showing names of WW2 dead seems firmly attached and is not dented or visibly corroded. No staining from metal elements is visible.
