Comments:
The Memorial is kept in secure and safe storage by the Royal British Legion in one of their sites in North Wales, after it was removed from the Stanney Lane site, when the property used by the local branch of the RBL was demolished. It is currently not accessible to the public. The local authority Cheshire West and Chester is hoping to bring the memorial back home and install the plaque in the road it originally came from: Cromwell Road, where the Mersey Iron Works were based. The memorial seems to have been slightly damaged in transport.
