Comments:
The Parish Council are currently working with colleagues from Durham County Council and the War Memorial Trust and have been successful in gaining a pre works grant to enable a conditions and heritage survey to be carried out as well as specifications for a tender submission. The surveys were completed in the autumn of 2016 and highlight works needed to the timber structure, roof and drainage. The Parish Council is working on a full grant application to enable the repair work needed to be done. The application will be submitted at the end of 2016 with a view, if successful to completing the works needed by the summer of 2017.
