Comments:
Pupils from Whitwick St John Primary School conducted a Conditions Survey with Heritage Schools Project. The area around the memorial is well kept and tidy and generally the memorial is well cared for. The plinth, because of its age has a few minor cracks but nothing significant. The Memorial cross itself is stone and apart from a little moss at the top is in good condition. The inscriptions are raised on a metal plaque. They are clear and not weathered. After a discussion the class unanimously agreed that the Condition of the memorial is 'FAIR'.
