Comments:
I am the manager of the Wallsend memorial Hall where the war memorial is situated. I have concerns over the general condition with the paint work. The bronze sailor and soldiers paint is flaking off and exposing the bronze underneath. I am concerned that someone may attempt to take the bronzes if we dont repaint them. The general paintwork is in poor condition and i understand that we are not allowed to paint it? Could you tell me if this is correct? Please see attached photos Best regards Gary Madden
